British two-wheeler manufacturer today announced the launch of their much-awaited Trident 660 model, with a price starting from Rs 6.95 lakh ex-showroom pan India. The trident 660 features a retro-styled design element that looks cool, along with a LED headlight, a short circular fuel tank with a total of 14-liter capacity, a smaller tail section with LED taillights. It gets a single-piece seating arrangement, with teardrop-shaped rear-view mirrors, underbelly exhaust, and body-color radiator owl, which makes the bike look very fancy and more attractive to the bike enthusiasts.

The motorcycle is offered with four-body color options in the Indian market, which are crystal white, sapphire black, matt jet black, and Silver ice, and dual-tone silver ice, and diablo red. Triumph trident 660 rides on a 17-inch sporty five-spoke alloy wheels design by Michelin Road 5 tires. The suspension duties are performed by 41 mm USD Showa separate function forks at the front wheel and a showa preload-adjustable monoshock with 133.5 mm travel at the rear wheel. The braking is performed by a twin 310 mm disc brake at the front and a 255 mm disc brake for the rear wheel.

The Triumph trident 660 powered with a 660-cc inline three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which develops 81 PS of maximum power at 10,250 Rpm and 64 Nm of peak torque at 6,250 Rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission gearbox system, with a slip and assist clutch offered as standard. The bike also gets a bi-directional quick shifter as an option. Triumph Trident 660 also comprises features like a digital instrument cluster, riding modes rain, and road, Dual-Channel ABS system, switchable traction control, connected technology, which enables the rider to get turn by turn navigations, along with controls of call and music paired with a smartphone. The bike rivals Kawasaki Z650, Honda CBR650R, and Ducati Scrambler 800, and an upcoming Yamaha MT-07 soon.
