Here we put together the sales analysis of the existing 350cc engine motorcycle’s sales analysis for the month of March 2021.
- Royal Enfield Classic 350 registered 31,696 units last month
- Royal Enfield Meteor 350 garnered 10,596 units in March 2021
- Recently launched, Honda CB350 sold 4,302 units last month
Royal Enfield garnered a total domestic 350 cc sales of 60,173 units in March 2021 as against 32,630 units were sold twelve months back in March 2020, with YOY positive sales growth of 84.4 percent. However, if we compared RE bikes on a MOM basis its sales decline by 7.6 percent. Royal Enfield has a total of 4 350cc motorcycles on sale in the Indian market. As for now in India, only five bikes are offered in 350 cc powertrain, four from the homegrown brand royal Enfield and one from the Japanese manufacturer Honda. All five bikes are named, RE Classic 350, RE Meteor 350, RE Bullet 350, RE Electra 350, and recently launched Honda CB350.
The homegrown brand royal Enfield has a strong bike in 350 cc space, and its bestselling model Classic 350 sold 31,696 units last month as against 24,304 units last year in the same corresponding month, getting 30.41 percent of YOY sales growth. Last year, the manufacture launched Meteor 350 as a replacement for Thunderbird 350. The Meteor offered in three variants, Fireball, Stellar, and supernova. The Curser is the first bike from the brand to sit on cradle chassis and have a tripper navigation system and a revised powertrain of 349 ccs single-cylinder air-cooled SOHC motor, which gets the improved fit and finish and has a fewer vibration compared with the older 346 cc engine coupled in Bullet and Electra.

Although, the same engine could be used in a New-generation Bullet 350 in the coming months. The meteor 350 secured the second position with 10,596 units were sold in March 2021. RE Bullet 350 registered a total domestic sale of 9,693 units last month against 2,507 units in March 2020, with getting 286 percent of positive sales growth on a YOY basis. The Electra posted a total sale of 4,914 units against 3,160 units twelve months back with 55.51 percent sale growth. On the other hand, Honda CB350 gain a total of 4,302 units last month, and recently the Cb350 line-up was expanded with the launch of CB350RS Scrambler. The Japanese manufacturer also working on expanding its Bigwig dealerships across India and adding more motorcycles to the dealerships line-up.
