Hero Moto-Corp Managed to sell 12,000+ units of Xtreme 160R in Oct 2020

Hero Moto-Corp one of India’s biggest two-wheeler manufacturers has recorded the highest ever monthly sales units in history. The biggest jump comes from the commuter motorcycles like splendor plus, or splendor i3Smart trims. Also, Hero Moto-Corp managed to sell 12,000+ units of Xtreme 160R.

Hero moto-Corp’s main sales come from an entry-level commuter trim, hero doesn’t have the same success with their premium motorcycle trims and scooter trims. Still, the hero managed to sell 12,000+ units of Xtreme 160R in October 2020. Currently, Hero Moto-Corp has only 2 motorcycles larger than 125cc engine in their line-up, Xtreme 160R and X-pulse 200.  Since the launch of Xtreme 160R a few months ago, the motorcycle gaining decent popularity among young buyers with its sporty design and power.

Xtreme 160R was recently launched a few months back, and the bikes gained really decent popularity and this shows in the units sold last month with more than 12,480 units were sold. Compared with the month September 2020, this comparison is very early but Xtreme 160R gets a small drop of 3.98 percent against October 2020. As the motorcycle was launched recently there is no year on year comparison for now. Hero Xtreme 160R is powered by a 163cc, air-cooled single-cylinder engine which generates 15.3 PS of maximum power and 14 Nm of peak torque. Xtreme 160R comes with a standard 5-speed gearbox, which helps Xtreme 160R to go from 0-100 kmph in just 4.7 seconds.

The styling of the motorcycle is quite sharp and sporty, while still be comfortable. Motorcycle features a list of features, like all-LED lighting system, single-channel ABS, tubeless tires, 17-inch alloy wheels, LCD digital instrumental cluster. It also gets telescopic forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. While front disc at the front is standard and the rear disc is an option for buyers. Xtreme 160R has priced at Rs 1.20 lakh for single disc trim and Rs 1.05 lakh for dual-disc trim (All prices are ex-showroom New Delhi). Xtreme 160R rivals apache RTR 160 4V, Honda hornet 2.0, Suzuki Gixxer, and pulsar 160 NS.
