Zongshen cyclone RX6 revealed – Engine sourced from Norton

Zongshen cyclone RX6 officially revealed ahead of its launch, and the powertrain sourced from TVS owned Norton.

Chinese automaker Zongshen cyclone RX6 officially revealed globally. The motorcycles offered in two variants – a touring model and an off-roading-based model. Upon the launch, the Cyclone RX6 will be the largest bike, from the manufacturer which features a bigger 650 cc powertrain, sourced from Norton, which was last year purchased by TVS motor company. As for the design, the bikes look really handsome and sportier, it features an electrically adjustable windscreen, a muscular fuel tank, and a sharp tail section. The Bike features LED lighting all around, headlamps, DRLs, turn indicators, and tail lights.

The Motorcycle rides on USD front forks, along with an offset monoshock rear suspension. While the handlebar is tall longer, the foot sets are set in the center, and the seats are long and narrow. The Height is quite adequate reported 820 mm and while the curb weight of 245 Kg. The touring variant offered with alloy wheels, and while the off-roader comes paired with spoked wire rims and a long-travel suspension system. The engine comes paired with a 650 cc DOHC parallel-twin unit, as it can also be seen in the upcoming Norton Altas and Nomad. That being said the engine can develop 71 PS of power and 62 Nm of torque.

Zongshen Cyclone RX6 braking is handled by a twin-disc brake at the front wheel, and a single disc at the rear wheel, along with a Dual-channel ABS unit sourced from Nissin. Other, notable features are the 7-inch TFT instrument cluster enables with Bluetooth connectivity, smartphone app, split grab rail, keyless ignition, and a bunch of electronic aids. However, Zongshen Cyclone RX6 only been announced in selected Asian countries like China, Philippines. The Bike will go on sale in the European and UK markets later onstage, while the Indian market launch unlikely, as the brand doesn’t reveal any plans for India.
