Renault India today has unveiled their first sub-4m compact SUV in its conceptual form and it will be 80 percent same to their production model. Kiger will be coming with an turbo petrol engine at global level as well as in Indian market also.

The managing director and CEO of “Renault India operations” confirmed the Name “Kiger” for their upcoming sub-4m compact SUV. Sharing the same platform as Renault Triber CMF-A+, the Kiger car has been designed with the association of corporate designing teams in France and the brand’s Indian division. Taking into considerations and reviews from the buyers from showcasing concept car design. The production specification and design of Kiger will be 80% exact to their concept design and specs. The production model is ready and unveiled in early 2021. B-segment accounts for more than 50% of the auto industry sales. Renault India has a belief in Kiger that it will help their brand to expand its presence across the Indian market furthermore. As Renault India motors already past the 6.5 lakhs unit’s milestone in India, Kiger launch will help in further improvement in their sales units.

By seeing concept images by Renault kiger the noticeable elements of the concept car are 2-level full LED headlights with neon indicators, large 19-inch alloy wheels with heavy grooved tires, tapered wing mirrors, roof-integrated spoilers, sloping rear glass, ground clearance of 210mm, and a winged front grille with large Renault logo on it.
Renault Kiger comes with almost the same features and specs as Nissan Magnite which will be launched on 26th November 2020. It is expected that Kiger will be equipped with a 1.0Liter 3-cylinder turbocharged engine mated with either a 5-speed manual or CVT(continuous variable transmission). The 1.0liter 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine may also be in the offering. The interior features expected to include apple car play, android auto, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 5-inch digital instrument cluster, steering mounted controls, the dual glove box, and switchgear.
Renault Kiger rivals with a long list of sub-4m compact suvs like Hyundai venue, Kia sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, and Toyota urban cruiser. The aggressive price tag will definitely help Kiger as Nissan Magnite expected to do on 26th November 2020 at the launch.
