The most talked-about car recently The Nissan Magnite is just around the corner for its launch and is expected for being a highlight for Nissan’s smallest car offered till now. And before the launch, Nissan has yet again created a new buzz by officially announcing all the specs of its upcoming Magnite. Earlier Nissan only shared few specs about the Magnite like its boot space of 336-liter, gearbox type, engine specs, and ground clearance of 205mm.
Nissan Magnite Dimensions
The Nissan Magnite is a 5-seater compact SUV that measures 3,994mm in length, 1,758mm in-breath, and 1,572mm in height including a wheelbase of 2,500mm with a 16-inch wheel of either steel or alloy depending on the variant. Nissan boasts ‘segment-leading’ ground clearance of the Nissan Magnite of 205mm and a boot space of 336-litre.
The highlight of the Magnite may not be its breath or the height, but the segment where it excels by others is the weight, as being called the lightest compact SUV in India which weighs around 939kg for the 1.0-liter NA petrol variant, 1014kg for 1.0-liter Turbocharged manual variant and 1039 for 1.0-liter turbocharged CVT variant.
Nissan Magnite engine specifications and comparison
Nissan Magnite comes in two petrol variants of 1.0-liter which was known earlier by the leaks and now we have the full specification for them. First is the 1.0-liter Naturally Aspirated (NA) three-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of producing 72hp of power with 96Nm of torque and will only be available with a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox The second is the 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that is capable of producing 100hp of power and 160Nm of torque, that comes in paired with a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox.
The 1.0-liter turbocharged engine will also be available in a CVT automatic variant with a torque output of 152Nm.
Although the specs are not top-notch but when bundled with its lightweight body the performance would not disappoint.
Magnite’s 1.0 turbocharged MT engine provides the best mileage amongst its other variants of 20kmpl followed by a slightly lesser mileage of 18.75kmpl offered by the 1.0-liter NA variant and lastly the mileage of 17.7kmpl offer by the 1.0 turbo CVT combination.
Nissan Magnite expected price and its competitors
The Nissan Magnite will be available in four-level trims as announced by the company with an additional offer of a Tech pack that will be adding some additional features to it. Nissan Magnite would be entering the market at quite an aggressive starting price of Rs 5.3Lakh up-to Rs 7.5Lakh for the fully loaded 1.0 turbocharged CVT engine. Nissan Magnite being introduced in the most competitive segment will be facing quite a big competition by –KIA Sonet, TATA Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Ford EcoSport.
