2021 Kia Seltos to get a new logo and panoramic roof-Launch 27th April?

2021 Kia seltos the top-selling Mid-Size SUV could add a panoramic sunroof to its arsenal and a new logo also coming with it.

The Kia Seltos was the debut vehicle from the Korean manufacture in the Indian market and was launched back in August 2019. It’s been two years and the vehicle should get upgrades and updates, and Kia now sent out an invitation that says “something big is coming” on April 27. Kia might go ahead and debut their new Logo in updated seltos, and making it India’s first Kia car to feature the new Logo. It is also expected that Seltos could get new trims and new variants which include a panoramic sunroof and new features as well.

As for now, Kia offers its Mid-Size SUV with a single electric sunroof, while its cousin brand Hyundai offers a bigger and larger panoramic sunroof with their New generation Creta. No mechanical changes are expected to be made with the car. Seltos continues to power with three engine options, 1.5 Litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, that produces 115 PS of power and 144 Nm of peak torque, a 1.5 Litre 4-cylinder diesel engine rated at 115 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque, and a 1.4 Litre turbocharged petrol engine, which develops 140 PS of power and 242 Nm of torque. The transmission handled by 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, while 1.5 L NA petrol gets an optional IVT, the 1.5 L oil burner gets an optional 6-speed torque convertor and the 1.4 L turbocharged petrol gets an optional 7-speed DCT gearbox system.

As of now, Kia retails seltos with a base price of Rs 9.89 lakh for the HTE trim, and which goes up to Rs 17.45 lakh for GTX+ trim (both prices are, ex-showroom). However, the new updated Seltos prices could get hiked marginally with an added new logo and a panoramic sunroof. Now that the Volkswagen group is all set to launch two new compact SUVs in the country in form upcoming Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun, hence, it might the best time to update Seltos to showcase it in the Indian market.
