2021 Kia Sonet compact SUV has been launched in the domestic market, with few updates and a brand-new KIA logo.

Kia India has announced the launch of the 2021 Sonet along with its bigger sibling Seltos for the Indian market. The compact SUV has been added with new features like paddle shifters, a few safety advancements, and connectivity. The updated Kia Sonet now offered automatic transmission for HTX trim – HTX 7DCT 1.0 Litre turbo petrol and 6-speed AT for HTX 1.5 Litre oil burner. The new Sonet priced from Rs 6.79 lakh for the base trim THE 5-speed MT and it goes up to Rs 13.25 lakh for top trim GTX+ AT (ex-showroom).
The Korean manufacturer has refreshed the Sub-4m compact SUV with new features paddle shifters, which enables a quick gear shift and have more responsive driving experience. The paddle shifters are being offered with all the automatic trims available in the 2021 Sonet. As for the newly added features along with paddle shifters are first in segment rear door sunblind’s, voice command for sunroof open and close, also new safety advancement has been made to the SUV.
From the safety perspective updated Sonet features – ESC, vehicle stability management, brake assists, hill assist control, are now being introduced in the lower variants as well. Along with multiple driving modes and traction, modes are now available in the higher-spec variants of the 5-seater SUV. The lower trims feature added, push start-stop, electric sunroof, remote engine start, chromed out door handles, and crystal cut alloy wheels. As for performance, Sonet continues to power with 1.0 Litre Turbo petrol, 1.5 Litre diesel, and 1.2 Litre NA petrol engine.
