Many cars launch which were scheduled in the recent weeks have all been postponed to later dates, due to the ongoing second wave of the pandemic which has resulted in a series of weekly lookdown that has fully halted the production and sales of any car in India. However, slowly these health conditions are easing down and soon these lockdown restrictions will be revoked after which will commence the rain of car launches. Here is the list of the top 5 new upcoming cars debuting in the next few weeks.
- Hyundai Alcazar
Hyundai Alcazar is no doubt the most anticipated car of the year, which was originally meant to be launched at the end of April 2021 but got postponed due to obvious reasons and till now no fixed launch date has been announced for the car.
The Alcazar can also be said as the 7/6-seater version of the company’s best-selling SUV, the Hyundai Creta however the car will be coming with some of its own specialities which will make the car stand out even more, like the powertrain options of the Alcazar comprises of a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine, the new grille design and many more such things.
- Volkswagen Taigun
The next big thing for Volkswagen is its new India specific car, the Volkswagen Taigun which will be sharing many similarities with the Skoda Kushaq. The upcoming Taigun will be entering the most competitive segment which currently is ruled by the Korean companies Hyundai and Kia.
- Skoda Kushaq
Built on the India 2.0 project, the new Skoda Kushaq will also be an India specific car that is solely designed keeping in mind the Indian audience. The Kushaq has already been revealed by the company before the pandemic stuck however its launch still is on hold.
- Tata HBX
The new Micro SUV Tata HBX or the Tata Hornbil is the new upcoming Tata launch that people are eagerly waiting for. The new Hornbil will be powered by the same engine as that of the Altroz, Tiago and Tigor. And the car most likely will be placed slightly above it.
- 4th Gen Skoda Octavia
Another Skoda launch planned for the next month if everything remains well and good. The new Octavia was meant to be launched last month but due to this health crisis, the date for its launch has been postponed. However, this new Octavia might be new for India but was launched back in November 2019.
