Maruti Suzuki S-Presso has been one of the most unrated cars of the company in terms of sales, even though the car is one of the best selling entry-level cars of India, which stands a place below the legendary Maruti Suzuki Alto. The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso managed to sell a total of 7,737 units in April 2021 and managed to be amongst the company’s few cars which registered a positive MoM sale compared to the month of March 2021 which had a far better situation for both the Company and the whole nation, towards the end of April our county was struck again by the second wave of Pandemic for which even after a month the country hasn’t been able to recover.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso in March 2021 made a sale of 7,252 units which is 485 units less than April 2021, the MoM growth of April for S-Presso stands at 6.7 per cent. The reason for this growth even after such a situation where all other cars are going negative is the pricing of the car which starts at Rs. 3.78 lakh for the base variant and goes up to Rs. 5.26 lakh for the top-end trim (Ex-showroom Delhi).
Talking about the car, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is built on the Heartect-K lightweight platform that comes with a 1.0-litre 3-pot naturally aspirated petrol engine that can generate up to maximum power of 67 PS and a maximum torque of 90 Nm. Interestingly Maruti is also offering an option of 5-speed automatic transmission along with the standard 5-speed Manual transmission. For the most talked about Maruti features, the Mileage, this car performs a splendid work and provides a mileage of 21.4 kmpl for the manual type gearbox, while the automatic transmission option boost this mileage for a very small amount of +0.3 making it 21.7 kmpl.
The car is also available in the CNG equipped version, however you will be loosing on a part of power as well as torque.
