On 5 March 2021 Audi released a new teaser image of the new upcoming Audi S5 Sportback with a tagline “Get ready to take the road by the wheels”, although, the teaser doesn’t reveal the car’s launch date, it just says coming soon. The car will be competing against the like of the yet to be released BMW 340i which is also in the coming soon phase.
Talking about its design the Audi S5 Sportback gets a new single frame grille with chrome highlights, new LED headlamp setup, a tweaked new bumper design, 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, dual tone ORVMs, frameless doors, quad exhaust and sleek LED taillights. For the interior the new 2021 S5 gets an all black interior with silver highlights, a 10.1 inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Connected Car Tech, an 8 inch TFT digital instrument cluster, various coloured choose able ambient light, three zone climate control, a Bang and Olufsen premium audio system and various other features
Talking about the car the Audi S5 can also be termed as a performance version of the Audi A5, which will be coming with a 3.0 litre twin turbo V6 TSFI engine which can generate up to 349 hp of max power and 500Nm of max torque, mated with an 8-speed automatic transmission system. This engine can accelerate from 0-100 in just 4.5 seconds.
With the launch of the Audi S5 Sportback the company will be having its 8th entry in the current line up of cars. Along with the S5 Sportback few other cars are also planned to launch in coming months like Audi Q5 2021 facelift (expected launch 15 April), Audi Q3 2021 facelift (expected launch 15 June), Audi e-Tron (expected launch 15 June), Audi Q7 (expected launch 01 September) and Audi A3 2021 facelift (expected launch 01 October).
