French auto car maker PSA Groupe going to return to the Indian market, this time with a new brand product Citroen C5. The first car to be debuting on 1st February 2021.

The First Citroen car debuting in India will be an SUV, named C5 Aircross, which was expected to launch last year but it is postponed due to pandemics. Now, Citroen will make their debut through via virtual product briefing. Although the launch date is not be officially declared by the brand, it is expected to launch in March 2021. The Citroen C5 Aircross has been seen on-road test multiple times, also the company has revealed some information in the past about the upcoming India-Spec model.
It is based on a PSA Groupe EMP2 platform which is also used by other international brands like Peugeot and DS automobiles. In terms of dimension, the SUV measures, 4500mm in length, 1840mm in width, 1670mm tall, and 2730mm long wheelbase, and 230mm in ground clearance. The car interior includes an 8.0-Inch HD touchscreen infotainment system, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable side mirrors, android auto, apple car play, etc. In terms of safety, dual-frontal airbags, front and rear parking sensors, Hill assist, electronic stability control, etc.
The car expected to power with a 2.0-liter diesel engine, which generates 180 PS of maximum power and 400 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties performed by a 6-speed manual gearbox, and an optional 8-speed automatic transmission. No petrol drivetrain will be offered as of now but will be brought later after the launch. The C5 Aircross expected to be priced between Rs 25 to Rs 30 lakhs (ex-showroom). C5 Aircross likely to rivals Jeep compass, Hyundai Tucson in the Indian market.
