Throughout our entire life span, electric energy has always been the most climate-friendly source of energy with a very low emission rate. But due to lower demand and higher cost the trend for electric vehicles never came into existence for the market, but with more car manufacturers producing electric vehicles with comparatively low prices along with government placing subsidies for the commercial electric vehicle purchases, this initiative taken by both the car manufacturers and the governing authorities have resulted in an exponential increase in buyers looking for electricity as an alternate solution to ever increasing oil market.

As the largest source of air pollution from America to India is the use of gasoline, petrol, and diesel in vehicles. To solve this climate crisis, we need to invent cleaner cars and cleaner fuel. Emissions from trucks, cars, and industries are not only dangerous for our planet but also for the human race because their toxic nature has now developed many diseases like asthma, cancer, and many more which are rapidly spreading to new generations. To alter this never-ending calamity many companies are shifting towards cleaner energy sources which will help reduce pollution and make the air breathable again.

Gas may be cheap and its future may be uncertain but now auto carmakers are flowing the footsteps of Tesla and trying to hassle its way through to produce more electric vehicles, while we can already see many manufacturers already introducing their Electric vehicles in the market like Hyundai, MG, Mahindra, TATA, Mercedes, Volkswagen ID, BMW, plus small local manufacturers like Maruti, Audi are also going join this trend in the near future. Next year in 2021 many more companies will dive into the electric vehicle market.

  1. Jaguar I-pace 2020

I-pace first electric by a jaguar in India will be launched on Dec 15, 2020, comes with 90KWh made up of high energy density lithium-ion pouch cells. I-pace is propelled by two permanent magnets synchronous motor which produces 294KW and 696Nm of torque and runs 500 km on a  full charge. I-pace goes from 0-100kmph in just 4.8 seconds which makes I-pace an electric power car. Jaguar I-pace electric expected price range between Rs1.20 crore – Rs1.80 crore (ex-showroom)   

  • TATA altroz EV

TATA altroz electric vehicle in India will be launched on Dec 15, 2020, comes with a lithium-ion cell battery. TATA Altroz EV propelled by two permanent magnets, and on a single charge it will run up to 250Km. Tata Altroz Electric vehicle expected price range between Rs14 lakh – Rs18 lakh (ex-showroom).

  • Mahindra eKUV100

Mahindra eKUV 100 launched in India on 16 Dec 2020, Mahindra eKUV100 expected ex-showroom price range between Rs 8.25 lakh – Rs 10.25 lakh

  • Audi e-Tron S

Audi e-Tron will be launched in India around Dec 25 2020, e-Tron comes with three electric motor set up which generate 169 hp in normal and 204hp in power mode with these powerful train set up it goes 0-100 kmph in less than 5 seconds. E-Tron expected price range between Rs1.5 crore – Rs2.0 crore ex-showroom.
