Escorts tractor released their March 2021 sales figures of the Indian market, the brand’s sales surge by a massive 124 percent last month.

Escorts Agri machinery India registered a total domestic sale of 11,730 units of tractors last month against 5,228 units in the same period in the corresponding month last year, with massive three digits positive sales growth of 124 percent on a YOY basis. As for the exports stands, the brand registered 607 units of tractors last month against 216 units in the same period last year, with getting 181 percent positive sales growth on a YOY basis. As, compared on a MOM basis the manufacturer garnered 11,230 units in Feb 2021, which gets to a MOM sales growth of 9.86 percent in March 2021.
Escort’s head stated, that due to nation-wide lockdown last year sales of almost every genre of vehicles were down. As, such the comparable sales figures are strictly not on a YOY basis, although the sales figures can be compared on a MOM basis as the last quarter of 2020, is extremely positive and the consistent growth was seen by almost every vehicle manufacturer of any Genre. Escorts also stated that the demand for tractors continued to be strong in India, while the constant rise in inflation is a worrying factor.
Escort also announced that in FY 2020-21 the manufacturer sold more than 1 lakh tractors, in terms of sales and production in India. This is the first time the manufacturer achieved this milestone since the starting. The company reported that it sold 1,01,848 units in the last FY, which means it is a 23.8 increase in growth compared to 82,252 units were sold in FY 2019-2020. Escorts Agri machinery was established in 1960, manufacturer tractors in India under two brands – farmtrac and powertrain. The tractor’s power ranges between 22 HP to 80 HP, and the brand has an over 800 touchpoint across their 14-lakh customer base.
