Ford First ever electric pick-up truck named F-150 Lightning going to make a global debut on 19th May at the brand’s all social media platforms and 18-inch high profile public spaces.

Ford F-150 not only the world’s best-selling pickup truck but also on of the most accomplished truck globally, and that one of the reasons for the popularity of the F-150 in the North American states. Now American manufacturer has revealed the taser video of the brand’s first-ever electric pick-up truck named F-150 Lightning and making its debut on 19th May 2021. Ford also revealed that the debut will be broadcast on heir all social platforms along with 18-inch high-profile public spaces like time square in New York.
The Lightning nameplate used by Ford for their street performance trucks in the 1990s and in the 2000s. That being said the brand has to reintroduce its first electric pick-up truck with a lightning nameplate this month. F-150 lightning will go on sale in Spring next year. Last year ford also revealed that they are investing $700 Million at the electric truck factory at the ford river rouge complex in Dearborn, Michigan, and the production will be commenced at the plant with new upcoming electric trucks from the brand.
Although, the brand hasn’t revealed the Pick-Up truck specifications yet, while it does slip few pieces of information about the EV like it will have the dual electric motor set up, hand-free driver-assist operations, and mobile power generation and OTA software updates. Upon, the launch the electric truck will rival with tesla Cybertruck, GMC Hummer EV truck, and Rivian R1T. While, internal combustion engine F-150 comes equipped with multiple engine options – 3.3L V6, 5.0L V8, 2.7L V6, 3.5L V6, 3.0L V6, and 3.5L V6 Powerboost Full-hybrid. The price for the ICE truck starts from $28,940 USD which converted to INR Rs 21.22 lakh.
