Ford stops car production: Figo & EcoSport discontinued

Ford has been in the car market since the start of the Automobile times, but recently in many parts of the globe, the sales of carmaker haven’t been performing that well, due to this reason a piece of news has broken out that Ford stops car production in brazil. This is the news confirmed by the carmakers that ford due to its poor sales of few of its car in brazil, has finally decided to shut down three of its plants (Troller, Taubate, and Camacari) till the end of this year.

The reason behind this big decision is to be blamed solely on the COVID-19 pandemic which has made the company rethink about its brazil plants to restructure their plant and to increase the company’s efficiency. The company was also suffering from low sales and due to this reason, the decision was made which will also affect 5000 workers currently working in these plants. Amongst these three ready to be shut down plants 2 of these plants (Taubate and Camacari) will be immediately shut down for car productions with few spare parts will still be in production in a few months. The third plant (Troller) will be continuing its production till the end of the year.

Ford has also decided to stop the production of 3 of its cars: EcoSport, T4, Figo. These cars will be no longer be sold at Ford as soon as its stock runs out

Ford is bringing up many changes to boost its efficiency globally, as for Indian market ford has recently taken an exit from the joint venture between the company and Mahindra and Mahindra. This joint venture was earlier seen as a way to earn a sustainable profit but now the company is looking at the current market scenario and it doesn’t look much good for Ford. Recently in many parts of the globe, the sales of carmaker haven’t been performing that well, due to this reason a piece of news has broken out that Ford stops car production in brazil.
