Hyundai Alcazar Design sketch revealed

Hyundai has revealed the Sketch of its upcoming model Hyundai Alcazar before its global launch going to be held on April 17th, 2021 followed by its domestic launch later this year. The new Hyundai Alcazar or also termed as the seven-seater Creta will be locking horns with its domestic rivals the new Tata Safari, MG Hector, and Mahindra XUV500. This Hyundai seven-seater will be placed just above the new Hyundai Creta in price point which is the same strategy applied by Tata motors on the Safari, which also is a seven-seater variant of Tata Harrier.

Both the Hyundai Alcazar and Creta are built on the same Hyundai-Kia K2 platform so both the car will be sharing many similarities. These Design sketches are officially released by the company and reveal all the changes made in Hyundai Creta to accommodate the 3rd row including all the interior and exterior changes.

Coming to the major change, which is the seating arrangement in this new seven-seater, for the second row there will be an option for 2 variant a normal bench seat or two separate seats which will make the car a six-seater but will provide better comfort for the middle seaters, however, the 3rd row might feel a bit cramped but, that will be the case for all the seven- or six-seater SUVs. Other than that, some changes which can clearly be seen are the new design of alloy wheels and the character lines and rectangular wheel arc which resembles to its 5-seater counterpart. The all-around size of the car is also increased and with it, the door sizes have also gone bigger to facilitate easy entry and exit to the 3rd row.

Talking about the exterior of the car, the front facia remains identical to the Creta, while a few changes can be noticed about the rear like the new C-shaped taillights, a roof mounted spoiler, updated rear bumper and new lower side claddings. Although, having so many changes to the car, the powertrain still remains the same as that of Creta, which offers 3 options of a 1.5-litre petrol engine, a 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
