Hyundai Bayon render surface-the upcoming i20 SUV based on leaked images

New renders of the upcoming Hyundai Bayon have now surfaced which are based on the previously leaked images of the car. However, the car looks more like a crossover rather than a SUV and as claimed by the company the new Bayon will be ‘the most affordable car in Europe’.

The New Hyundai Bayon will be based on the same design as the current i20 but in a SUV look. For the looks of the car front and rear faux skid plates, a large radiator grille, new sleek split headlamps and an extensive plastic cladding. For the sides the car totally resembles the new i20 with an exception of the larger windows which would be the case in a SUV and for the rear the Bayon gets vertical boomerang looking taillights that stretches till the roof spoilers.

As for the interior of the Hyundai Bayon render, it will be rocking pretty much the same interior as its hatchback sibling like the same designed dashboard, instrument cluster, infotainment system and some features like wireless charging system, lane follow assist, android auto, Apple CarPlay support with addition Bluelink Support, adaptive cruise control, front and cross collision sensor, rear parking camera and much more.

Similar can be said for the engine options of the car which will also be inspired by the new i20 so, will be available in two variants fist being the 1.2-litre NA petrol engine producing upto 84hp of power and 117Nm of optimum torque, coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission system and secondly a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine which will be able to produce upto 100hp of power and 171Nm of torque coupled with either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT gearbox.

Now for the biggest question. Will it be coming in the Indian market? So to answer this question lets assume that the Bayon enters the Indian market, then it will be competing against its own kind the Hyundai Venue will already is showing pretty significant profits and moreover there will not ne much difference in their price and for the Hyundai claim of most affordable SUV pricing it below the Venue market price will not be an overall good strategy. So simply putting the answer to it as most probably No, the Bayon will be only Europe specific.
