4 SUVs from Hyundai Motor Groupe finished in the Top 5 SUVs sold in April 2021, clearly dominating in the UV segment.
- Hyundai sells 12,463 units of Creta last month finished at 1st position
- Followed by Hyundai compact SUV venue garnered 11,245 units
- Kia Sonet and Kia Seltos finished ta 4th and 5th position
Hyundai Motor Groupe, Hyundai India, and Kia India combinedly sold over 39,500 units in April 2021 together in terms of the SUV segment. That being said, Korean manufacturers clearly dominating the SUV space in both the segment Mid-Size SUV and Compact SUV. Hyundai Creta finished at top of the sales with over 12,463 units sold last month ahead of its own sibling venue. The second generation of Creta was launched last year in March, and yet again quickly emerged as the segment king and continues the top position in the sales chart for the last few months.
The second position is taken by yet another Hyundai SUV venue, which was launched back in 2019, and since then it’s been on top of the compact SUV sales chart and leading the other compact SUVs like Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon and so on. Last month Hyundai Venue sells 11,245 units with just 1218 units behind Creta. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza broke the chain of Hyundai groupe as it finished at third position with 11,220 units sold last month.
Although, fourth and fifth position is held by Kia Mid-Size SUV seltos and last year’s launch compact SUV Sonet. The seltos registered 8,086 units last month and its own smaller sibling garnered 7,724 units in April 2021. That being said, Korean manufacture is dominating the SUV space in the Indian market with four SUVs finishing in the Top 5 SUVs sold in a month. As for the future perspective, Kia is planning to launch yet another MPV in India in early 2022, and as for Hyundai India, the company is planning to introduce updated Creta next month with subtle changes.
