Hyundai IONIQ 5 Teased in Videos – Debut Next month

Hyundai Motor Group unveiled their First electric car based on the E-GMP platform named IONIQ 5. This said platform is only dedicated to electric vehicles only.

Hyundai IONIQ 5 will be the first car to be built on the new E-GMP platform which is solely dedicated to electric vehicles. The said architecture platform is capable of having over a 500 km range. The Korean car manufacture is all set to offer and revealed their first car Next month. Ahead of its global debut, Hyundai has teased images of the IONIQ 5. The teaser images reveal exterior design aspects that are very different from the Hyundai cars portfolio. While the details and specifications are not revealed and kept as a secret for now, although it has been revealed that crossover features pixel-inspired Headlamps.

Hyundai also said that the model is their first to have a clamshell hood that spans the entire roof to have the futuristics clean and high-tech overall look. The IONIQ 5 also gets a fully enclosed front grille and digital new tech side wing mirrors. Other outside features seen in the images, aerodynamically optimized alloy wheels, Glossy LED tail lights, and conflicting body layer. Other than exterior designs and looks, not much has been revealed. Yet Hyundai has released a handful of videos of IONIQ 5 revealing the car’s capabilities. The car enables to function as a 110/220V power supply, which will help the owners to use their home appliances as well.

Another highlight video that has been discovered shows the ultra-fast charging capabilities of IONIQ 5, which shows that five minutes of charging is enough for the vehicle to go more than 100 km on the WLTP cycle. According to Austria’s blunder posting a specification of IONIQ 5 on their website last year, showcasing a combined power output of 313 PS is expected and along with an All-Wheel Drive configuration. According, to the Hyundai motor group electric vehicle built of an E-GMP platform capable of a maximum range of 500 km as per the WLTP test cycle. The company also said that the platform is superior to another platform, as this E-GMP platform is solely designed for battery-powered vehicles, unlike the others which are engineered for internal combustion-powered vehicles as well.
