HMIL or Hyundai Motors India Limited, India’s second-largest car manufacturing company today announced its sales figures for the month of March 2021, with a collective sale of 64,621 units, which calculates to YoY growth of 100% compared to the sale of 32,279 units which is for the same period last year.
The total sales figure of 64,621 comprises of domestic sales of 52,600 units and export sales of 12,021 units, which when compared to last year’s sale is quite a significant growth, where domestic sales were at 26,300 which translate to a clear 100% growth and export sales of 6000.

The Year 2020 was a letdown for the automobile industry all over the world, same goes for India however, most of the companies almost removed all of their losses till the end of FY2020-21, and the best-selling point was the SUV segment and amongst them was the Hyundai Creta which played a major part company’s recovery and this recovery can clearly be seen by the sales number of two of the leading car companies of India whose sale numbers cumulate to well over 2 lakhs on the month of March 2021.
And with this speedy recovery of Hyundai, March proved out to be the most profitable month compared to other months, where the company recorded an MoM growth of 1% with February sales of 51,600. And for January Hyundai sale were around the same margin, achieving a sale number of 52,005 units sold.
Hyundai March sales have proven out to be a big relief for the company, and to boost these sales even further Hyundai has laid the groundwork for success with 2 upcoming cars first being the Hyundai Alcazar which is going to be launched in a few days and the other is the next-gen Hyundai Tucson which will be receiving a facelift till the end of this year.
