Indian Automobile company Tata and Mahindra to launch a total of 7 SUVs in 2021

2020 the year of the biggest car launches, with the range of new cars in different segments introduced in this year’s Auto Expo. Many manufacturers continued to introduce new cars over the year from the beginning, and the festive season also saw a hoard of new car launches as well. Last year, four-wheel-drive cars were very limited to only small manufacturers but this year no manufacturer wants to be left out in the race of 4-wheel drive and a very competitive and famous SUV segment range. There were lots of SUVs planned by other brands like Nissan, Renault, Volkswagen, and even Maruti Suzuki, but Tata and Mahindra’s vehicles were gaining a lot of attraction from their GNCAP crash test and safety ratings, there is a lot of buzz for their up-coming SUVs. Very soon both the brands are planning to launch a combined total of 7 SUVs in the Indian market from Compact-SUV to full-size SUVs. Here are 7 SUV Tata and Mahindra to launch in 2021. Below is the list of SUVs of tata and Mahindra:-

Tata HBX

At this year’s auto expo Tata motors India showcased tata gravitas three-row SUV, along with gravitas Tata also introduced their first micro SUV concept named Tata HBX. The production-ready HBX was spied on-road testing this year a couple of times. Tata HBX is expected to be launched in late March or early April 2021. Tata HBX will be offered with a 1.2 liter three-cylinder revotron petrol engine, as the other hatchbacks of tata. The HBX is mated with a standard 5-speed manual transmission and an optional automatic gearbox option along with it. Talking about the features HBX carries a touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity, apple car play, android auto, split headlamps, LED DRLs, a Harman sourced audio system, and more. So, these are some top 5 budget SUVs launching in India in the coming months.

Tata Gravitas

Tata d their three-row SUV namely as “Gravitas” at this year’s auto expo. It was expected to launch this year itself but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is now delayed to early February 2020. It is offered with a 2.0 Litre Kryotec diesel engine, which generates 170 PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque as the Tata Harrier. The transmission will also be the same as the Tata Harrier, 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission. It is expected to offered with a petrol powertrain line up as well.

Mahindra TUV Facelift

The TUV300 was the only vehicle in their sub-4m segment to offer a 7-seater, which makes the vehicle a very family-friendly vehicle but sadly the car doesn’t get the success the car deserve to get and after some fewer changes it fails to gain the sales numbers as expected from the car, and after some time it was discontinued by Mahindra. The TUV300 facelift is expected to launch Next year.

Next-gen Mahindra Scorpio

Scorpio was launched in 2002 in the Indian market. The vehicle is still the first-generation car, while the next-gen Scorpio is going to launch soon in 2021. We expect it to offer the same powertrain option as the Next-gen Mahindra Thar has to offer a mHawk diesel and a mStallion petrol engine.

Next Gen-Mahindra XUV500

The second-generation Mahindra XUV500 is arriving in India very soon around the first quarter of 2021. The car is pied many times on-road test with camouflage. It is expected to launch with the same engine option as the Next-gen Mahindra Scorpio and second-gen Mahindra Thar.

Mahindra eKUV100

Mahindra also expected to launch the electric version of KUV100. The car was also showed at this year’s Auto Expo and expected to introduce in early July 2021. The vehicle is powered by a 15.9 kWh battery, mated with a 50KW motor. The vehicle offers a range of 147Km, will support fast DC charging as well. As a rumor the price range for the eKUV100 will start from Rs 8.05 lakh, if this happens to be true this car will be Indian’s most affordable electric vehicle.

Mahindra eXUV300

The electric verso of XUV300 also expected to launch next year in the second quarter of 2021. The vehicle’s full charge range will be 370Km, which was earlier confirmed by the Mahindra and Mahindra. The specifications and features are not yet revealed by the company.
