Kia Motors has recently revealed few images of their Upcoming electric vehicle named EV6. The vehicle specifications and few things haven’t been shared officially, although we know some interesting points and features that you should know before the official launch. Here the Top 5 things to know about the upcoming Kia EV6: –
- First Kia electric vehicle based on dedicated EV platform
Kia EV6 is exclusively built as a battery-electric vehicle, and it is built on Hyundai Groupe new dedicated electric vehicle platform E-GMP, which also underpins the upcoming Hyundai IONIQ-5, that been revealed recently by the group.
- Has commonalities with IONIQ-5 car
Last month Hyundai Sub-brand IONIQ revealed their first dedicated E-GMP new platform IONIQ-5, and some reports are suggesting that EV6 shares a lot of similarities with IONIQ-5. With the platform, the powertrain is also being shared between the two.
- New design philosophy
Kia EV6 has been designed on the brand’s new opposites United philosophy. At the front, vehicles feature the new Kia logo, angular headlamps, DRLs which the company calls Digital Tiger to face as they called Tiger Nose grille in their gasoline vehicles. The vehicle also features a coupe-style rear design section, with a concave-shaped tail section and a high-mounted roof spoiler, along with tail lights sweep side-to-side over the tailgate. The vehicle is aerodynamically designed to have a more efficient driving range.
The Interior of the Kia EV6 features a lot of space and as good as the exterior. The highlights of the cabin include a Dual-Screen setup, a fully-digital instrument cluster, and a touchscreen infotainment system along with a curved display. Other interior specs are Sleep AC vents, two-spokes multifunction steering wheel, touch control of HVAC, and rotatory gear noob. Also, the EV6 gets recycled plastics for fabric upholstery.
- Price and Specs
The Specifications and more information will be unveiled at global debut later this month of next month. Although, the powertrains are expected to be similar as offered in IONIQ-5. The Kia EV6 expected to offer single motor RWD and Dual-motor Setup AWD configurations, with a maximum driving range of 480 km in a single charge.
