Lamborghini introduced the ultra luxury SUV Urus in 2018 and since then the car has sold a total of 100 units in India becoming the most successful model of the company.
The first Lamborghini Urus was sold in September 2018 and within a year the company managed to sell a total of 50 car, the company even claimed that they were delivering 1 car each week before the pandemic struck, however, slowly the sales are starting to rise again as the pandemic situation is getting normal. Lamborghini is mostly known for its 2 seater coupes, but the company took a risk of introducing an SUV which paid off pretty well, especially for the Indian market where it is well suited to handle the Indian roads and traffic conditions over its other counterparts.

Talking about the powertrain of the car, the Urus is powered by a 4.0 litre V8 twin turbo petrol engine which can produce a massive power of 650hp and max torque upto 850Nm, which is coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox. Lamborghini also claims the car can achieve 0-100 kmph in a mere 3.6 sec and can also achieve a maximum speed of 305 kmph. Now talking about the price, the Lamborghini Urus is only sold in a single option which is priced at Rs 3.10 crore (ex-showroom).
Lamborghini is planning to introduce a mid-cycle update to the Urus which may get revealed globally till the end of this year, and talking about the rivals of the Urus in the Indian market, the car will be competing against the likes of Aston Martin DBX, Audi RS Q8 and Maserati Levante Trofeo.
