Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced another milestone achieved by the Indo-Japanese brand. They have successfully exported 2 Million Indian-made vehicles to bigger developed markets like Europe, Latin America, and many more. Going in the line of Make-in-India the biggest manufacturer has shipped products to many global automobile markets. The Celebratory batch of Maruti Suzuki products includes, including S-presso, Swift, Vitara Brezza are exported to the South Africa market from the Mundra port in Gujarat.
The Indo-Japanese manufacturer has started exports of its vehicles from India way back in the financial year 1986-87. In September 1987, the first consignment of 500 cars has been exported to Hungary, and the rest is history. In the financial year 2012-13, the company reached their first biggest milestone of one million exports, the other next to one million came in a very short period of time in just 8 years. In the first million milestones, more than 50 percent of the vehicles have been sent to developed countries from Europe as well as Latin America. The brand has been able to big market shares in countries like Chile, Indonesia, South America, and Srilanka.Maruti Exports 2 Million.
In these markets, most sold cars are small hatchbacks, Alto, Baleno, and Swift gained prominence along with most sold Sedan Maruti Suzuki Dzire. The 2 million vehicle exports from Maruti Suzuki are a testimony of the same. Maruti Suzuki has been exporting vehicles for the past 34 years much before India became a prominent player in the global automobile business. This early global exposure helped the Company enhance its quality and attain global benchmarks. Currently, we export 14 models, nearly 150 variants, to over 100 countries. Vehicles manufactured at our facilities in India have found high acceptance owing to global standards of quality, safety, design, and technology.” Maruti Suzuki has been exporting vehicles to many countries for 34 years, all way back when India didn’t become a main player in the global automobile sector.
