Maruti Suzuki Dispatched 4522 units of Ignis in April 2021

Maruti Suzuki sold 4522 units of its urban Compact-SUV Ignis in April 2021, and currently positioned as the most affordable car from Nexa Dealership.

Maruti Suzuki India introduced Sub-compact SUV Ignis back in 2015 and launched the facelift version in 2017 with few updates and enhancements. And last year Indo-Japanese manufacturer launched another Mid-life facelift with a newer bumper design and rear profile. In the month of April 2021, Maruti Nexa dealerships manage to sell 4522 units of Ignis in the Indian market. Currently, Ignis is the most affordable vehicle from the Nexa dealership line-up. Last month, the SUV becomes the second most sold vehicle from the Maruti Suzuki Nexa dealership.

As for talking about the features and equipment are the Urban SUV comes equipped with projector LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED taillights, and alloy wheels. On the cabin side, it gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system enables with android auto and apple car play, Smart play 2.0 integration, a MID instrument cluster, Auto climate control, push start/stop button, and steering mounted infotainment control. As for performance the SUV comes equipped with a sole 1.2 Litre NA petrol engine, which belts out 83 PS of maximum power and 113 Nm of peak torque.

The powertrain of the SUV comes coupled with a 5-speed Manual transmission and optional 5-speed automatic manual transmission gearbox system. As of now, Maruti Suzuki retails Ignis with a base price of Rs 4.95 lakh, which goes up to Rs 7.36 lakh for the top variant ex-showroom. The safety features offered with Ignis are Dual frontal airbags, ABS with EBD, seat belt pre-tension, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child-seat mounting, and so on. The Maruti Suzuki Ignis compete against Tata Tiago, ford freestyle, Mahindra KUV 100 NXT, and also upcoming Hyundai AX1 and Tata HBX or Tata Hornbill.
