Recently all companies are in a trend of rising prices of many of their cars, and the China-owned company MG is no exception to it. Last month the carmaker announced a price hike on two of its best-selling cars MG Hector and MG Hector Plus, but in the last few days, MG also announced the price on its flagship car, the MG Gloster and this price hike goes up to a massive height of Rs. 80,000 on the select variant.
The Full-Size SUV comes in 2 seating variants, one being the standard bench seating 2nd row 7-seater variant and the other being the more luxurious 2 captain seat at the 2nd row 6-seater variant. The car also comes with four trim levels – Super, Smart, Sharp and Savvy, each having its own line of features.

Talking about the engine specifications the MG Gloster comes with two engine options with almost the same specifications, the Super and Smart variants come with a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, which can generate up to a maximum power of 163 PS and maximum torque output of 375 Nm, that comes mated with the standard 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox. While the Sharp and Savvy variants come with the same 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, however this time the turbocharged engine used is a Twin-Turbo engine that generates 218 PS of maximum power and a maximum torque of 480 Nm, that also comes with the standard 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox.
