The New Gen of Skoda Octavia will be introduced in the Indian market, next month officially announced just after Kushaq unveils ceremony.

Skoda Octavia D-segment Sedan was not updated to comply with BS6 norms last year, which was came into effect on 1st April 2020, hence discontinued. Although, the new generation Octavia was already been launched in global markets, and India Launch soon. The report is confirmed by the director of sales, service, and marketing, Skoda India, Zac Hollis in a tweet, that the New Generation Octavia will be launched towards the end of next month and deliveries will be commenced at the end of May 2021.
Talking about the globally unveiled new generation Octavia, on the upfront, it comprises of the Two-piece headlamps, along with optional LED matrix, signature butterfly grille even larger compared with regular models. Also, compared with the current model, the New Gen Octavia gets a slightly lower roofline, which gives it a coupe Stace. The rear design features new angular LEDC tail lights, while the Skoda badging is replaced with SKODA lettering, positioned on the upper part of the Boot lid same as in every new Skoda model. New Gen Skoda Octavia Euro-Spec features comprise of 10.25-inch virtual cockpit, 10.25-inch free-standing infotainment system with built-in eSim, gesture control, cruise control, Smartphone connectivity, Multi-colour ambient lightning, a 4.2-inch head-up display, a 12-speaker Canton sound system, 3-zone Auto climate control, panoramic sunroof, and so on.
The Indian Spec New Gen Octavia could tone down the features on the arrival, compared with Euro Spec in order to provide more aggressive pricing. While safety features include, ABS with EBD, 6-airbags, rear parking camera, ESC, and so on. The Euro-Spec New-version comes with multiple engine options, like petrol, Diesel, and Plug-in hybrid, but it is expected that India-spec could launch a new Gen Octavia with a sole 2.0 Litre four-cylinder Turbocharged petrol engine, which develops 190 PD of maximum power and 320 Nm of peak torque. While the powertrain could pair with 7-speed DSG automatic transmission gearbox system. The Fourth gen Octavia could be priced at Rs 17 lakh onwards, although official pricing hasn’t been revealed yet.
