The Korean automaker Hyundai has recently launched a slight facelift of its India’s best-selling SUV, the Hyundai Creta which will be making its debut in the Russian automobile market followed by other markets like China. However, this 2022 Hyundai Creta which will be launching in Russia isn’t the major updated Creta which as of now is being tested in its home country, this one is the slight facelift model to the one which was discontinued after the launch of the new 2020 Creta in India. This new Creta does get some interior and exterior tweaks but mostly remains the same.
Talking about the changes, the new 2022 Hyundai Creta comes with a slightly tweaked front grille which now looks quite similar to the one used in the new Alcazar however this one lacks the chrome inserts used in the latter one, the size of the air intakes has also been increased and now comes with a faux silver finish. As for the sides, the car pretty much looks the same while the car gets a new alloy wheel design based on the variant you choose. The rear almost remains identical with the missing long single taillamp and a reprofiled rear bumper which now gets faux silver highlights.
The engine of the new Creta will be powered by either a 1.6-litre or a 2.0-litre petrol engine that will come mated with the options of Manual or automatic transmission, while some variants may also get AWD options.
This Creta only being a mild cosmetic update won’t be making its way into the Indian markets, however, the company is already planning on introducing a major update Creta, which is being tested in its home country Korea. The major update to Creta will include many cosmetic changes like grille and head and taillamps plus many more such updates, but that update to the car will take about 1 to 2 years before launching it in Indian markets.
