RENAULT INDIA NOV 2020 SALES ANALYSIS: MODEL WISE

Renault managed to sell 10,181 units last month as against, 10,882 units during the same period. De-growth of 6 percent in year-on-year sales unit.

In the Era of new emission norm, BS6 Renault motors India has only three models in the offering. Although only 3 models in BS6 norms offering, Renault manages to be in the top 10 sales charts of November 2020. It is quite impressive for an international brand with less offering finishes at the top 10 list every month. Renault finished at 6th rank in Nov 2020 chart. French manufacturers posted a regular de-growth in their monthly sales compared on a year-on-year basis. It is obvious that it is because of a decline in the popularity of Kwid, for which Renault recently introduced the facelift of Kwid.

With the updated Kwid and Duster to BS6 norms with good reception of Triber, Renault India finished on a high note. Continuing the same momentum in 2020 towards. Although recently Renault Triber popularity has lowered with posted year-on-year de-growth. In last month the base variant Kwid was the most sold car model in the brand offering. It registered 4,956 units as against 4,182 units in the same period last year, with 19 percent positive sales growth. Followed by Triber Renault MPV recorded 4,809 units as against 6,071 units in the same period last year, with 21 percent of negative sales growth.

The Duster’s recorded only 416 units in November 2020 as against 505 units in the same month last year, with an 18% negative sales year-on-year basis. Renault’s overall sales last year 10,181 units against 10,882 units in the same period, with a 6% de-growth in the sales units. Although the month-on-month sales drop by 7% as 11,005 units were sold in October 2020. Renault India has recently introduced its compact-SUV Kiger concept. The production model will go on the floor in early 2021 and made on the same platform as The Newly launched Nissan Magnite. It will also be powered by a 1.0 Litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, and a 1.0 Litre Turbocharged petrol generating 100 Hp and 160 Nm. As for the transmission offering, it will be offered with a 5-speed manual and CVT(continuous variable transmission) gearbox.
