Skoda and VW a joint entity named the SKODA AUTO Volkswagen INDIA private limited (SAVIPL). SAVIPL entity consisting of both the auto car manufacturer Skoda and VW in India, arranging to launch Indian standard cars in the market, as well as some products, are being imported to launch in the Indian market to strengthen their market capitals and increase their shareholding in the market. Next-Gen Volkswagen Vento
Volkswagen to launch their newer generation of Vento in the market. As Vento was introduced a decade ago around 2010, since the launch the Vento is unchanged. Volkswagen sedan Vento is the most loved sedan of Volkswagen as their sales figures comparatively good with their other products like polo and virtus. The company finally to replace old-generation Vento with new-generation Vento. The new-generation Vento is expected to based on a heavily localized “MQB AO IN” platform and the styling will be inspired by Volkswagen virtus. The Drivetrain is expected to be the same as the old-generation Vento, the 1.0 Litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which generates 110 HP of maximum power and 175 Nm of peak torque.
Next-Gen Skoda rapid
The Skoda Rapid was launched in the Indian market in 2011. Since the launch same as the Vento apart from the facelift version of Rapid in 2017, not much has changed in rapid. Now Skoda is going to introduce the next-generation rapid in the market which will be based on the same Indian platform “MQB AO IN”. Next-gen rapid will expected to launch with the same under the hood specification as the next-generation Vento is based, which is a 1.0 Litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. The Next-generation Rapid is expected to launch towards the end of 2021, a little while after the launch of Volkswagen Next-generation Vento.
Volkswagen SUV Taigun
Volkswagen compact-SUV Taigun will likely to launch on April 2021. The Taigun will also be built in the same platform “MQB AO IN”, as their siblings Next-gen Vento and Next-gen rapid. Volkswagen Taigun already unveiled at Skoda and Volkswagen auto media night. The bookings for their recently introduced SUV T-Roc also sold out for the year. Volkswagen Taigun will likely come with either a 1.0 Litre TSI turbo-petrol engine, which generates 115 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. Either 1.5 Litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, generates 150 PS and 250 Nm of peak torque. Taigun will likely to rival Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Renault Duster, etc.
Skoda “VISION IN”
Another Skoda vehicle which also rivals with likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, etc. Currently, its expected name is Dubbed as “ VISION IN”. It is also likely to launch in 2021. Same as all other Skoda and Volkswagen cars it is also based on Indian standard platform “MQB AO IN”. VISION IN was already being spied at road testing on Indian roads. The vehicle concept avatar is being seen at the AUTO EXPO 2020 and expected a lot of changes to their production-ready model. It is expected to come with the same 1.5 Litre turbo petrol as Taigun or a 1.0 Litre turbocharged petrol engine as Next-generation Skoda Rapid.
Next-Gen Skoda Octavia
The Next-Generation Skoda Octavia already being unveiled in international markets last year, and expected to go on in the Indian market in mid-2021. The Indian Specifications Octavia will be available in engine options, firstly 2.0 Litre turbo petrol produces 190 PS of maximum power and 320 Nm of peak torque. And later on, probably a 1.5 Litre TSI motor generated 150 PS of maximum power and 250 Nm of peak torque. The Next-Generation Octavia RS will also go on the floor in the Indian market as well, the launch date still is unknown for now. The price range for New Octavia likely to be a little high as compared with the old generation one.
Volkswagen Passat facelift
Volkswagen is planning to reintroduce its sedan Passat facelift in the Indian market. Already the new model is spied testing on Indian roads. The expected launch date is still not been revealed but likely to go on the floor next year. Passat facelift is likely to rival with cousin Skoda superb and Toyota Camry. The Passat facelift will come with a 2.0 Litre 4-inline cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which generates 190 Ps of maximum power and 320 Nm of peak torque when mated with a standard 7-speed DCT. The spied images show not some big changes in the Passat facelift version. Likely to launch at Mid-2021 with their siblings, Next-gen Rapid and Volkswagen Vento.
