Both the car might look different to a normal eye, but a person with some knowledge of cars might be knowing that these both cars are amongst the company’s India 2.0 plan which means that these cars are solely made for the Indian audience and also share the most fundamental platform of the heavily localized MQB A0 IN.
Both these cars will also share the same engine specifications, and will be offered in 2 variants – the first being the 1.0-litre TSi turbocharged petrol engine producing up to maximum power of 115 PS and maximum torque of 175 Nm and the second one being the 1.5-litre TSi diesel engine which will be generating maximum power of 150 PS and a maximum torque of 250Nm.
- Price segment
The price segment of both the cars most likely will be the same as that of the Hyundai Creta, which is also the biggest competitor for these cars. However, this is solely our assumption and the company hasn’t revealed any price hints till now.
- The exterior design
Although both these cars are made over the same platforms, but both look completely different from one another in styling. The Skoda Kushaq consists of the signature Skoda butterfly grill with a heavy chrome outline, sounded by the dual piece split headlamp setup, a rather funky looking skid plate, and many more such details.. for which you can head on to our Kushaq specific article.
While the Volkswagen Taigun gets a seamless front grille design with horizontal chrome slats in the mid, broader looking headlamp setup, stylish faux skid plat and wide air vents at the centre… for more details you can head on to our Taigun specific article.
In the interior too both the cars are wide apart from each other with one offering a rather sporty/ stylish looks inside and the other offering a rather straightforward look. However, you can certainly choose your liking as won’t be going wrong after choosing any one of them.
