Tata Motors sales up by massive 113 percent last month Feb 2021 sales, as a compared year-on-year basis, that’s highest ever in last 9 years from the home-grown brand.

Tata Motors’ sales volume has been increasing exponentially in the last 7 to 8 months, courtesy of recent launches in the Hatchback and compact SUV segments. Tata Motors registered a three-digit positive sales growth on a year-on-year basis, as it sold 27,225 units last month against 12,430 units in the same period last year in Feb 2020 with a massive 119 percent positive sales growth. The Combined sales at domestic and international markets stood at 61,365 units against 40,619 units twelve months ago. In Jan 2021, the home-grown brand registered 26,978 units, leading a sales growth of 1 percent on a month-on-month basis. The Combined passenger and commercial sales for the domestic market stood at 58,473 units against 38,002 units in the same corresponding period last year, with a 54 percent sales growth. As compared to commercial standards, Tata dispatched 33,966 units last month against 28,071 units in Feb 2020, with a 21 percent positive sales growth. Last year, Tata launched many new products and facelifts of the ongoing line-up. Last week home-grown brand resurrected the safari nameplate and, as it came in the domestic market with 7-seater and 6-seater Iteration of Mid-Size SUV Harrier. Safari offered a sole 2.0 Litre turbo Diesel engine which develops 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of peak torque. Transmission is paired with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox system. The Future line-up for the brand is expected to be a new CNG version of Tiago and Tigor, which was seen on-road testing many times. Along, with the new micro-SUV HBX concept named Hornbill. It could get use 1.2 Litre petrol engine found in the Tiago, Tigor, and Altroz pairing with 5-speed MT and 5-Speed AMT.
