Tata Nexon gets its highest ever monthly sales in Jan 2021

Tata Nexon 5-star safety rated homegrown brand SUV posted highest ever monthly sales in Jan 2021. Nexon contributed one-third of the brand’s Jan 2021 total volumes.

Tata motor’s home-grown brand’s finished at 3rd rank in the overall mass manufacturer sales chart for Jan 2021 behind Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai. Tata Nexon contributed one-third of the overall sales volume of the brand. Tata Sold 48,842 units of Nexon last month, with 143.2 percent positive sales growth on a year-on-year basis. Nexon finished at 18th position in most sold cars in Calendar year 2020, in the passenger car industry. Tata launched the facelift version of Nexon a year ago and since then SUV has performed extremely well in the second half of CY 2020, as the industry sort of reopening due to a health crisis.

Along, with Nexon Tata also launch the facelift of Tiago and Tigor while Harrier gets the major update, and reasonable new paint Camo green last year. The brand’s portfolio further strengthens by the premium Hatchback Altroz which was launched just 11 months ago and manages to sell more than 47,000 units in CY2020. Although, Nexon electric version turns out to be a great addition to the portfolio, as it becomes the bestselling EV passenger vehicle in CY2020. In the first month of the new calendar year 2021, Tata records 26,980 units against 13,893 units during the same period in Jan 2020, with a positive year-on-year sales growth of 94.2 percent and finished ahead of Mahindra, Kia, Honda, and Toyota.

Tata Nexon is available in two engine options, a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine, which belts out 120 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque, and a 1.5 liter turbocharged Diesel engine, which generates 110 PS of power and 260 Nm of torque. Transmission is taken care of by a standard 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox system. Tata Retails Nexon SUV with a starting price of Rs 7.10 lakhs and it goes up to Rs 12.80 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Nexon is the only affordable passenger vehicle with a 5-star safety crash test rating at Global NCAP.
