Tata Safari Adventure Persona Edition – what’s in for buyers?

Tata Motors has finally launched their much-awaited second-generation Tata Safari with a base price tag of Rs 14.69 lakh (Ex-showroom), keeping in mind this price tag is only introductory, which means it will be hiked up after few weeks. In addition to the regular line-up, Tata has also introduced the Adventure Persona Edition which comes with various cosmetic change to the regular variant, although there isn’t any mechanical change from the rest of the variants. The Tata Safari Adventure Persona Edition only comes in 2 variants namely XZ+ and XZA+.

Let’s now look at its various changes offered in the Persona Edition.

While the dimensions remain the same for all variants the designing however gets a blacked-out accent upgrade. The front grille which on the regular version is chrome finished, here the grille gets a piano black finish, the door handles and roof rails also get a black-out treatment, while here it called the granite black when comparing it to the regular version where the door handles are chrome finished and the roof rails get some silver accent. The version also gets a blacked-out SAFARI badging on the front which is missing from the regular version, the faux bash plate remains black on each variant, and unlike other variants the persona edition gets 18-inch charcoal grey machine cut alloy wheels.

As for the interior theme, there are also some change like the Earthy brown and white along with piano black accent on the dashboard, inner door handles, switchgear and instrument cluster, moreover, the car also gets an additional theme pack which includes a piano black theme for grab handles, steering wheel, floor pad and IP mid pad finisher.

As talked about earlier the Tata Safari Adventure Persona Edition does not get any mechanical change and only comes in a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine capable of producing upto 170PS of power and 350Nm of peak torque, this engine is coupled with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission gearbox.

For the pricing, the Tata Safari Adventure Persona Edition XZ+ variant is priced at Rs 20.20 lakh and the XZA+ model is priced at Rs 21.45 lakh. And both these variants are also available in a 6-seater variant with 2 mid captain seats.
