The new Turbo variant of Tata Altroz launched priced at Rs 7.74 Lakh

The much-awaited turbo variant of the successful Tata Hatchback, the Tata Altroz iTurbo has been launched with a Price tag of Rs 7.74 lakh (Ex-showroom, New Delhi) for the standard turbo variant. The new Turbo variant is named as the Tata Altroz iTurbo which will be sold in 3 different variants based on their features, XT, XZ, and the Top spec variant XZ+ which was earlier the XZ(O).  However, this price at which the iTurbo is launched is just the introductory price which means the iturbo will be offered at this price only for a limited period of time.

Comparing the iTurbo to the normal petrol variant, the Turbo variant will cost Rs 2.04 Lakh than the base petrol. For the additional price the carmakers also provide an additional sports drive mode and some additional accessories like the 8-speaker Harmon audio speaker for the XZ and XZ+ trims which is an upgrade from the 6-speaker system for the other XZ and XZ+ trims, iRA connected tech, rear fog lamps, fast cool function in the climate control. However, the new iTurbo XT will be available with the smaller 14-inch steel wheels whereas the NA petrol variant will be getting bigger 16-inch steel wheels. Also, the iTurbo will be offered with a contrast black roof which is an additional accessory for the normal variants.

For the engine specification the turbo variant will be having the same specification as the normal petrol engine with an addition of Turbo which will be boosting its peak power from 84bhp to 108bhp and peak torque from 113Nm to 140Nm. No other change in engine specification.

Talking about its rivals the new Tata Altroz iTurbo launched will be competing against the likes of Volkswagen Polo, and the i20 Turbo edition, however these two will be having a slight edge over the iTurbo as these 2 comes with an automatic transmission system which is missing from the Altroz turbo.
