Top 10 SUV sold of Jan 2021 – Creta, venue, Sonet

Hyundai UV finished high in the Top 10 SUV sold in Jan 2021. With more than 12,284 units of Creta has been sold last month.

  • Hyundai Creta and venue topping the list of more than 78 percent sales growth
  •  4 SUV’s came in the Top 5 from the Hyundai Groupe
  • 10th position secured by Nissan latest Edition Magnite with 3,011 units were sold last month

Hyundai Motors India Limited major focusing on their UV’s as Creta and venue are generating good sales volume every month since the Debut. In Jan 2021, the sales even got bigger than expected as Hyundai’s UV finished at top of the sales chart with more than 78 percent increased sales volume. The Creta was the most sold SUV in the country last year and held the place 7th months in a row, and with this new calendar year, Hyundai Creta maintain the top position in the segment. Another SUV from Korean company Venue was not so far from Creta with 11,779 units were old last month securing second place in the top 10 SUV sold list.

Third place secured by Marti Suzuki Vitara Brezza as it records 10,623 units last month against 10,134 units in the same period Jan 2020, with 4.82 percent increased sales. Another SUV from the Korean country Kia seltos saw a huge drop in sales of 34.20 percent Decline in sales compared on a year-on-year basis, as 9,869 units were sold last month against 15,000 units in Jan 2020. The New edition in the compact SUV segment Sonet has gradually gained momentum in the last month as well, as it records 8,859 units last month. Although, on the other hand, its major Rival Tata Nexon just hit its highest ever monthly sales as it was managed to sold 8,225 units last month against 3,382 units in the same period in Jan 2020, with a 143.19 percent increased in sales growth.

XUV300 finished at seventh position in Top 10 Sold SUV

Another Home-grown brand Mahindra Sub-4m SV XUV300 managed to finish at seventh position with 4,612 units against 3,360 units with 37.26 percent increased sales, while their bigger sibling Mahindra Scorpio finished at eighth position with a 23.33 percent decline in sales, as it managed to sell 4,081 units last month against 5,316 units during the same period in Jan 2020. The rebadged version of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Toyota urban cruiser finished at ninth position with 3,075 units and another new edition in the segment Magnite, finished at tenth position with 3,011 units, and with the help, Nissan saw their highest ever sales in India, as it posted 645 percent positive sales growth in the Indian market ever.
