Skoda India finally unveils much Awaited Mid-Size SUV Kushaq, which was showcased in the last year’s 2020 Auto Expo. It is the first SUV from the brand to built-in India, under India 2.0 campaign, in which Skoda and Volkswagen come together to build more new SUV platforms and products, especially for the Indian market. The Skoda Kushaq is built on an entirely new platform MQB AO IN platform, which will underpin the range of upcoming Volkswagen cars. On the unveil, Skoda Kushaq will go on rivals with bestselling Mid-Size SUV – Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos as well as Nissan Kicks, and Renault Duster. In terms of Size Kushaq measures, 4225 mm in length, 1760 mm in width, 1612 mm tall, and 2651 mm in wheelbase, which is the best in class. It has a 385 liters boot space, along with 188 mm ground clearance.

As per dimensions, all the Kushaq rivals are longer, wider, taller as compared with Kushaq but the new SUV has a longer wheelbase in the segment.
Skoda Kushaq comes powered with two engine options, a 1.0 Litre Inline-3-cylinder Turbocharged TSI engine, which develops 115 PS of power and 175 Nm of torque, mated with standard 6-speed MT or an optional 6-Speed Torque convertor. And a 1.5 Litre inline four-cylinder Turbocharged TSI petrol engine capable of generating 150 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. On the feature front Skoda Kushaq comprises a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless android auto apple car play, wireless charging, Auto LED headlamps, LED DRLs, ventilated Seats, tire pressure monitoring system, cruise control, connected car technology, ambient lighting, and so on.
This means that the Kushaq will go par with the bestselling Hyundai Creta and Kia seltos, while outperforms Nissan Kicks and Renault Duster as far as features go.
