But keep in mind the Tata Safari 2021 comes in as a 3-row model having 6/7 seats while the smaller Tata Harries only carries 5 seats, the 63mm difference doesn’t look much for including the 3rd row.

As both the cars are built on the same OmegaArc platform the engine specs are also to remain the same, with a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine capable of producing upto 170PS of power and optimum torque of 350Nm, which come along coupled with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission gearbox.

As for the pricing the recently launched Tata Safari 2021 is priced at Rs 14.69 lakh for the base variant XE and Rs 21.45 for the feature-rich XZA+ variant. While the Tata Harrier is priced at Rs 14.00 lakh for the base XE variant and Rs 20.46 lakh for the feature-rich XZA+ variant.
Both the cars showcase almost the same spec sheet from the design, dimensions, interior, features to the engine options. The only benefit of the new 2021 Tata Safari over the Harrier is the 3rd seating row which is selective in nature as some people might prefer it some won’t, however, the Safari also has the option of the 6-seat variant with 2 captain seats in the middle row but will cost you much more than usual.
