Last year Mahindra and Mahindra launched the much-awaited second generation of Thar after serving amazing 9 years of the first generation in the Indian market. Since, the launch the 4×4 SUV has been well accepted and appreciated by the buyers, as the waiting period for the SUV gone up to 12 months and bookings already crossed 50,000 Milestone. Although, thanks to the aftermarket support the SUV is very much customizable as well. However, the SUV was launched last year itself we have already seen a lot of modified Thar on the roads, and this one yet another masterpiece as well, as it gets the full-body rack kit.

Here, we have another modified Mahindra Thar, built at Noida UP based, Custom Servicepoint. The SUV boasts with plenty of off-roader body kit and equipment’s, that makes it more overland friendly vehicle. The main noticeable equipment is the full-body rack kit, which gets eight-point strengthened mounted points. The spare wheel has been shifted to the roof, from the rear part and we saw a shade mounted beside it. The SUV features a 20 Litre jerry that can be mounted on the tailgate with a utility basket on Inside. The stock square fuel lid is being replaced by Jeep Wrangler’s round-shaped Lid.

The SUV also boasts with new redesigned front grille and metal bash plates. A set of limb risers has been seen at the front to keep the windshield free from tree branches. The Off-roader also gets a new set of BFGoodrich all-terrain tires. Also, long grab handles is seen installed inside the cabin for the passenger to get stable on the off-roads. Although, no powertrain changes have been reported from the custom workshop. Currently, Mahindra Thar comes powered by a two-engine option – 2.0 Litre turbo petrol and 2.2-liter turbo diesel engine. The petrol engine develops 150PS/300Nm, and the oil burner generates 130PS/300Nm when mated with 6-speed MT or 6-speed AT.
