Tata Tiago was rewarded with 4-star in adult occupant at Global NCAP and currently the safest car in the segment.

However, the features list comprises of – Dual-frontal Airbags, ABS with EBD, Corner stability control, Overspeed alert, rear parking sensors, immobiliser and so on. Although, infotainment is also missing in the base variant. Tata Tiago base variant XE is priced at Rs 5.49 lakh, which is around Rs 30000 less compared with segment King Maruti Suzuki Swift base trim. Tiago comes powered by a 1.2 Litre Revotron petrol motor which develops 86 HP of power and 113 Nm of torque. The powertrain comes coupled with a 5-speed Manual transmission gearbox system.

Mahindra XUV300 is awarded a 4-star safety rating for Child-occupant and currently is the safest Compact SUV on sale in the Indian market. The base variant W4 comprises of Dual-frontal airbags, ABS with EBD, CSC, ISOFIX child mounting, impact sensing door unlock, panic braking signal, high mounted stop lamp, and immobiliser. Tata Mahindra XUV300 W4 comes powered via a 1.2 Litre turbo petrol engine, which belts out 110 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque.
