Bajaj Chetak Only EV recorded the highest monthly sales ever in July 2021

Bajaj only electric offering Chetak EV has recorded the highest monthly sale ever in July 2021, which stood at 730 units beating its major rival TVS IQube.

  • While talk about June 2021 the sooter registered a total of 452 units
  • Currently Chetak EV is offered in six cities in India

Last month and this month are the biggest months for electric vehicles offered in India in terms of sales. A central government of India announces special subsidies for every electric segment in India from four-wheeler to two-wheeler space. The subsidies help the brands to cut off their price tag to an extent of Rs 30,000 and more. While the subsidy is different for different states ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000. A few days ago, India has seen two new electric scooters Ola S Series and a simple energy one, which have shown a very big impact on the Indian market. Although talking about two-wheeler EV space Bajaj Chetak EV shows the highest monthly sale ever.

TVS Electric Scooter iQube launched in New Delhi cost Rs 1.08 lakhs

Bajaj dispatched 730 units of Chetak EV in July 2021, the highest sales ever saw by Chetak since its launch. While talking about sales in June 2021 it registered a total cumulative sale of 452 units resulting in Month-on-month sales growth of 61.50 percent. Also, Bajaj Chetak EV manages to outsell its main rival TVS iQube with a significant margin as well. For more info about comparison, IQube sold 540 units in July 2021. While iQube just sold 23 units of EV in July 2020 resulting in the year-on-year positive growth of 2247 percent.

Bajaj Chetak EV is currently offered in six cities in India – Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Bengaluru, Mysore, and Mangalore. The company is also planning to expand its network in at least 22 cities in India including, New Delhi, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and so on. The company offered Chetak EV in two variants – Urbane and premium-priced range from Rs 1.42 lakh to Rs 1.44 lakh respectively ex-showroom. As for its rival brand TVS sold IQube in Six cities in India – Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi, and Coimbatore. The same thing is planning for iQube as well it expanding its range to more cities as well in future.
