Honda two-wheeler sale analysis for June 2021, and yet again Scooter Activa turns out to be a bestselling product from its Indian portfolio.

Honda passenger vehicles haven’t been performing well for the Japanese brand in India, while the two-wheeler space is generating a good sales number month on month. As the lockdown relaxation has been given in the country across the states, many sectors saw a growth in their sales and the automotive sector is one of them. Last month Japanese two-wheeler brand Honda dispatched 2,12,453 units as against 2,02,837 units were sold in the same month last year, resulting in a growth of minor 4.7 percent on a YoY basis. While Honda Active at the top-selling product from the manufacturer with over 90,000 units was sold.

The CB Shine entry-level commuter from the brand finished at second position with 71,869 units sold last month against 40,316 units sold in June 2020, resulting in 78% positive sales growth on a YoY basis. The Honda Dio registered a total domestic 18,983 units last month against 12,883 units in June 2020, getting 47% positive sales growth on a YoY basis. The Unicorn slotted at fourth position with 17,260 units dispatched against 11,817 units sold in June 2020, finishing the month with 46% growth.
Honda Grazia registered the highest positive sales growth of 562% last month as it sold 3,334 units last month against 504 units in the same corresponding month last year. Sixth, the seventh and eighth position is taken by a dream, H’Ness, and Livo with 3,276, 1,853, and 1,227 units sold in June 2021. The last five products in the portfolio of Honda consisted of Hornet 2.0 with 247 units, Xblade with 91 units, CBR650F with 18 units, CB500 with 17 units, and the flagship bike Africa twin with just 4 units.
