Honda Two-wheelers April 2021 sales analysis – Activa, Shine Unicorn

Honda Two-wheelers India posted 2,40,122 units in April 2021, as Activa finished at the top ahead of CB Shine and commuter Unicorn.

  • Last Month Honda registered 2,40,122 units against 3,95,037 in the march 2021
  • Honda Activa finished at the top with 1,09,678 units in last month
  • Honda Hornet 2.0 finished at the ninth position with highest sales de-growth of 91 percent last month

Honda’s two-wheeler India continued to be the second most sold manufacturer in India, behind Hero MotoCorp last month, as the Japanese manufacturer recorded 2,40,122 units against 3,95,037 units in March 2021 with getting 39.2 percent decline in sales compared on a MOM basis. Last month Honda garnered 24.13 percent market share behind Hero MotoCorp’s share of 45 percent. The Top seller for the brand last month is its best-selling scooter Activa as it registered 1,09,678 units last month against 1,99,208 units in March 2021, with getting 45 percent of sales to decline on a MOM basis.

On the other hand, Honda CB Shine finished at second position with 79,416 units as against 1,17,943 units during the previous month getting 33 percent of de-growth on a MOM basis. The Honda commuter Unicorn finished at third position with 16,602 units sold in April 2021, as against 23,235 units sold in march 2021, getting a 29 percent MOM volume decline. The Honda Dio registered 17,269 units last month against 22,677 units in the previous month, getting a 24 percent MOM decline and finishing the month at the fourth position. The Dream finished at fifth position with 5,502 units and getting 38 percent of the decline in sales On a MOM basis.

The Honda Grazia finished at sixth position registering 4,600 units last month, finishing the month at a 33 percent sales decline. Although, Honda Livo held the seventh position in the chart with 3,707 units sold against 8,304 units in the previous month and registering 55 percent sales de-growth. Recently, launched Honda H’Ness CB350 finished at eight positions with 2,969 units sold last month, while Hornet 2.0 registering just 186 units and getting the highest sales decline of 91 percent on a MOM basis. Honda Xblade not so popular motorcycle garnered only 153 units against 1,476 units in March 2021, with a 90 percent sales volume decline.
