Top 10 bikes sold in July 2021 – Splendor, CB Shine

Yet again biggest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp Splendor series finished at first place in the top 10 bikes sold in July 2021.

  • Hero Splendor was the top most sold bike last month with 2,50,794 units
  • Bajaj line-up pulsar, platina and CT 100 finished at 4th 5th and 6th position
  • Last two position is gain by Hero Glamour and passion with 20,606 and 18,316 units

In the last few months, bikes space in the Indian two-wheeler segment has been dominating, when compared with scooter sales. Although, last month not same as the earlier month’s bikes sales drop with a little margin. While, Hero Splendor again proving its dominance in the space by dispatching over 2.50 lakh units in July 2021, as against 2,13,413 units sold in the same month last year getting 17.5% positive sales growth on a YoY basis. Second, the position is held by again Honda entry level CB Shine with registering 1,16,128 units last month against 88,969 units In July 2020.

The hero HF Deluxe finished at third position with 1,06,304 units garnered last month against 1,54,152 units resulting in 31% negative sales growth on a YoY basis. Although, out of ten only four bikes saw a positive sales growth, while the highest been had by Bajaj platina of 55.5% and slotted just below its sibling Pulsar. The Pulsar dispatched 65,094 units and Platine registered 54,606 units last month against 73,836- and 35,103-units last year in the same corresponding month. The Sixth position is taken by Baja entry-level CT100 with 27,962 units against 33,774 units in July 2020 resulting in 17.2% degrowth.

The seventh and eighth positions are taken by TVS Apache and Honda Unicorn. The former registered 27,228 units and the latter registered 21,735 units against 33,664 units and 20,213 units in the corresponding month last year. The Apache resulting in 19.1% negative sales and unicorn garnered 7.5% positive sales on a YoY basis. The last two positions are slotted by Hero Glamour and Hero Passion with 20,606 units and 18,316 units against 51,225 and 44,377 units. The former bike gets 59.7% of degrowth and the latter garnered a 58.7% decline in sales.
