At the end of the year 2020, news broke on the internet that Yamaha Trademark applied for the trademark name of FZ-X. recently spied pictures during the Shoot of TVC emerged online showcased the production-ready version of the bike, and the debut is expected soon later this year. Although, the brand hasn’t revealed the details and confirmed any news about the FZ-X, here we put together the Top 5 things about upcoming expected FZ-X: –
Thanks to the leaked images of the specifications of the bike in which we can see the dimensions of FZ=X. the bike measures 2020 mm long, 785 mm wide, and 1115 mm tall, with a 1330 mm long wheelbase. Although compared with the FZ-F, FZ-X is slightly longer and taller, both the bikes share the same wheelbase.
Courtesy of the spied images we can have a clear look at the bike, it comprises a retro-style design. That being said the bike includes, round-shaped LED headlamps, a single-piece seat, an old-school tubular grab rail, and a tear drop-down-shaped fuel tank. The FZ-X also gets slightly forward footpegs, a raised single-piece handlebar, and a relaxed riding position.
The Yamaha FZ-X comes powered with the same 149 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine which develops 12.4 PS of maximum power at 7,250 Rpm and 13.3 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 Rpm. The powertrain comes paired with a 5-speed transmission gearbox system. The engine is the same as the FZ-F and FZ-S F.
The spy images show the bike rides on a conventional telescopic front fork, a monoshock rear suspension, alloy wheels, and both disc brakes front and rear. Other than that the motorcycle also comprises Single-channel ABS, a fully digital instrument cluster, and could be offered with 3 color options, blue, orange, and black.

Yamaha FZ-X is likely to be launched this year itself, around Mid-2021. It is expected that the bike could be priced more compared with FZ-F, maybe between Rs 1.20 – Rs 1.25 lakh ex-showroom.
