Yamaha India sales analysis April 2021 – MT-15, R15, RayZR

Yamaha India posted 37,318 units in April 2021 as against 46,241 units in the previous month March 2021, with a 19.3 percent sales decline on a MOM basis.

Yamaha Motors India’s total cumulative domestic sale stood at 37,318 units in April 2021, as against 46,241 units were sold in March 2021, with a 19.3 percent MOM sales decline. The manufacturer recorded only a 3.74 percent, market share and finishing the month at seventh position in the overall manufacturer sales chart for April 2021 two-wheelers. While in the month of March 2021 the brand registered a market share of 3.09 percent, leading to the positive increment of 0.65 percent market share in a MOM basis.

Yamaha FZ continues to lead the sales chart as it registered 12,298 units last month, as against 16,563 units in March 2021 with 26 percent negative sales growth on a MOM basis. As for the future, the manufacturer further going to expand the best-selling model line by introducing FZ-X which features many common things with FZ like brakes, suspension, and powertrain as well. Upon, the launch it is expected to positioned above FZ V3, with an expected price tag of Rs 1.20 lakh. Yamaha RayZR finished at second position with 7,512 units sold last month, with a 9 percent MOM sales decline.

Yamaha YZF-R15 finished at third position with getting 6,022 units in April against 6,988 units in the month of March 2021, which translates as 14 percent sales de-growth. The naked streetfighter sibling MT-15 registering 5,692 units last month and led to fourth position in the chart. The Fascino finished at fifth position with 5,612 units last month as against 7,724 units in the previous month with 27 percent negative sales growth on a MOM basis. However, FZ25 ended up at last with only 182 units sold in April 2021, and getting 18 percent of MOM sales drop, as Yamaha dispatched 222 units of FZ25 in March 2021. Β
