Mahindra’s next big launch is the upcoming XUV700 which will be making its debut in a few months and prior to that, the company has been revealing some of its innovations and unique features in the form of Teasers. To increase the hype of the car, and this time it’s the smart door handles for the XUV700.
Mahindra released a bunch of teasers in which the first teaser showcased the booster headlamps which would automatically light up when the car exceeds the speed of 80 kmph increasing the viewability of the driver. The second teaser was of the car’s new Panoramic sunroof which the company is calling the Sky roof which features the segments largest sunroof without compromising the safety of the cabin. And now the company has released a teaser showcasing the new smart door handles which are the segments newest feature that has been taken from high-end luxury cars. These door handles pop out whenever you unlock your car by the remote key and tucks themselves in whenever the car gets locked or at a certain speed when the car auto locks.
The XUV700 was said to be the more premium version of the ongoing XUV500 and by the looks of its exterior does look that the car will be going through some major exterior and feature changes although at a more premium price. The car will start making its way to the dealerships by October 2021. The car will be powered by the same engine as the Thar, which is the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine which can generate up to 200 hp of max power and a 2.2-litre diesel engine that will be capable of generating a maximum power output of 185 hp, which will be coupled with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission option, along with an AWD option.
