Maruti Suzuki yet again dominates the compact SUVs space in august 2021, as it registered 12,906 units against 6,903 units in resulting in 87% growth.
- Maruti Vitara Brezza finished at top with 87% growth on YoY basis
- Second position is taken by Tata Nexon with 10,006 units sold in august 2021
- Mahindra XUV300 registered a highest growth of 96% last month
Last month yet again Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza registered a year-on-year growth of 87 percent as it dispatched 12,906 units in august 2021 as against 6,903 units sold in august 2020. Tata Nexon’s 5-star safety rated compact SUV finished last month on the second position with 10,006 units sold as against 5,179 units in twelve months back registering a year-on-year growth of 93 percent. The third position is taken by the Korean SUV Hyundai venue with minor growth as 8,377 units against 8,267 units in the same month last year.

The Kia Sonet finished at the fourth position as it garnered 7,752 units in august 2021, while Mahindra XUV300 finished at the fifth position as it gets 5,861 units as against 2,990 units in august 2020 resulting in the highest growth of 96 percent. Nissan’s newest edition of compact SUV Magnite finished at sixth position with 2,984 units sold. While its sister brand Renault Kiger finished at seventh position with 2,669 units and beats the Magnite with a comfortable margin.
Maruti Suzuki rebadged version Toyota Urban cruiser finished at eighth position with dispatching 2,654 units in august 2021 through OEM deal. Ford India’s compact SUV EcoSport finished at ninth position, but it only recorded 396 units in august 2021 against 2,757 units during the same corresponding month last year resulting in year-on-year degrowth of 86 percent. The facelift version of EcoSport is expected to launch soon and the test mules have been spotted many times on Indian roads within or lighting updates. The Honda WR-V finished at tenth position with 672 units sold as against 729 units in august 2020 resulting in a degrowth of 8 percent.
