Jeep India recently launched the much-anticipated facelift version of their best-selling SUV compass in the domestic market and for global markets as well. The American manufacturer further strengthens its portfolio with Wrangler Rubicon, which will go on sale from 15th March 2021. 2021 Jeep Wrangler will be more affordable compared to an ongoing model of Wrangler, as the company investing more than 250 Million USD to start assembly of their upcoming SUV in India like Wrangler Rubicon, compass, and upcoming Grand Cherokee. Jeep India plans to launch more than 5 SUVs between 2022-2025.
Jeep currently retails Wrangler in India with a starting price of Rs 64 lakh and goes way up to Rs 69.05 lakh for the Wrangler Rubicon variant (ex-showroom). The 2021 Jeep Wrangler domestic assembly has been started, after being brought through the CKD route, and thus its prices may see a little down compared with the current selling price. The Pre-bookings for the 2021 Wrangler have been commenced across dealerships. The Wrangler is always known for its off-roading capabilities and boasts an iconic design appeal. Exterior design elements have been remaining the same it continues to have iconic multi-slated front grilles under the flat bonnet, upright pillars, muscular fenders, removable doors, 18-inch alloy wheels, and so on. As for the interior, it will get a host of new changes and updates inside the cabin.
At the cabin, it will feature, new Uconnect infotainment touchscreen that supports Android Auto, Apple car play, updated instrument cluster, connected-car technology and so on. The new product will get some new safety features as well, as it performs very bad at the global NCAP safety crash test it only gets a 2-star safety rating. As for under the hood, continues to use a 2.0-litre inline four-cylinder DI inline petrol motor, which is capable enough to generate a power output of 268 HP at 5250 rpm, and 400 Nm of peak torque at 3000 rpm. New updated BS6 complaint Wrangler comes mated with an 8-speed automatic gearbox system sending power to all wheels. It provides 10 kmpl of fuel economy from 70 Litre of fuel capacity.
